Mr. Russell Leith, MBA, B Com, serves as a director on the corporate board of GG International, an international management consulting group headquartered in Dubai with regional offices worldwide.
In addition to serving on the corporate board, Mr Leith oversees regional offices in Africa from his base in Zambia, and directs GG International's specialized insurance, risk, and finance thematic division.
With a distinguished 41-year career in finance and risk management, Mr. Leith brings extensive expertise to his senior governance and leadership roles within GG International. Over the past 25 years, he has honed his strategic acumen and financial prowess in directorial and senior executive roles within New Zealand’s insurance and financial services sectors.
For the last 16 years, Mr. Leith has expanded his influence internationally, providing advisory services in over 40 countries, including to central banks and insurance regulators. He has collaborated with the UNDP on disaster risk finance and insurance projects in more than 25 countries, focusing on climate change and disaster risk recovery. These projects highlight his dedication to addressing global challenges through financial innovation.
Mr. Leith also serves as an advisor to the US Treasury on an ad hoc basis, reinforcing his standing as a trusted authority in finance and risk management.
