Nyimbi Odero is a distinguished leader in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, with over 30 years of transformative experience across government, enterprise, and frontier innovation markets. As a Director on GG International’s Global Advisory Board, he brings a rare blend of strategic vision, technical depth, and executive leadership spanning Africa, Asia, and global digital corridors.
Nyimbi currently serves as Group Managing Director of Del York Group, where he led the $4.5 billion Kebulania Creative & Innovation City initiative—Africa’s largest AI-driven tech and media ecosystem. He also oversaw the development of The Plex Lagos, a $206 million sovereign AI-secure campus, and the Reskill Africa digital education platform.
His private sector credentials include leadership as Head of West Africa at Google, where he launched broadband and digital access initiatives, and as CEO of Seme Research, delivering AI policy simulation and blockchain solutions. As Senior Vice President of Technical Product Management at Crossover (Trilogy), he drove enterprise software optimization across global markets.
In the public sector, Nyimbi has served as a trusted advisor to national governments and institutions. He was Chief Technology Officer for Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), leading the biometric registration of over 73 million voters and overseeing the deployment of a $100M+ national ICT platform. In Kenya, he advised the Ministry of ICT and the Chief Justice on digitizing public service and judiciary systems, including electronic case filing, court revenue management, and the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS). He has also worked with the Ghanaian Judiciary and Police Service to strengthen justice sector ICT strategies.
Nyimbi’s academic foundation includes a B.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Nairobi and an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management. He also holds a Certificate in Technical Management from MIT.
In addition to his executive and advisory roles, Nyimbi is a published contributor to the ICT field and is widely recognized for driving large-scale digital transformation initiatives that bridge innovation, governance, and secure infrastructure development. (location: Kenya)
